Know real Moonmita in her own words below.....

I was born On January 28th. It was a full moon day. So, my dad decided to give me a name which is related to the Moon. He ended up thinking with this unique fusion name of mine... The friend of Moon, “Moonmita”. I was born just a few days before Basant Panchmi. Saraswati Puja was the first festival of my life. So, might be it was predestined that, I would worship music and dedicate my life to art…
I like imagining, what life would be like after hundreds of years. I love dreaming. Because, I believe, if we don’t dream we won’t reach the goal. My life is all about humming the tunes I love all day, I write about life, specifically the parts of life concerning love. Because, as far as I'm concerned, Music and love are two absolute ultimate of life.. Without them perhaps world will stop rotating...
I'm little crazy.. Very possessive about all my belongings.. Sometimes I struggle to express my true emotions … I sometimes love to be a little distant and remote from everyone.. People who knows me well, describe me as an easy going, friendly, helpful, excited, adventurous person..I am scared of heartless people, I’m not dominant or arrogant but, still respect my own vision and opinions upon a matter and express it.. I’m well –organized and understanding.
My biggest fear is getting bad news. Or, letting someone down. I bother about losing my loved ones.. When I can’t tell anyone about my state of mind.. I write to burst out my emotions… it helps… So, my every write-up is always very dramatic...
I am from Kolkata, India.. The city of Joy... The City of Music, Poetry, Books, Painting.. The Bengali root has nourished myself with all senses of art. Fortunately, now I live in San Francisco, California, which is also a magical land.. Art and culture resides in every heart here.. The waves of the blue Pacific touches softly the beaches making beautiful tunes.. The foggy evening, the bright Red Bridge, the November rain, the light house, the hills, the crooked roads and the awesome talented street musicians.. Every bit of this makes me so mesmerized.. I feel every breath of the city.. I feel the music of life by the ocean, at the top of a hill, on a lonely trail, even sitting on a bench alone beside the busy streets. I feel the wormth of love.. The Love which “... Feel up my senses” ... The music of my soul…
I don't like it when something or someone turns out to be different than what you originally thought. I love my family and friends . Life is too short and isn’t easy.. It takes the toll of pain and sorrow to give you something great.. I believe whatever we have… we have it right now.. Nothing stays forever… so I try to enjoy every moment to the fullest in my own way.. No one gets a second chance to snatch the time back from the past.. But, if have no regrets we are good…
Music has taken me lot of places, but the admirers and my listeners are the reason, that it's been so magical. I may not have known how my early life would shape my artistry, but I did understand the emotional power of music from very young age. I was first drawn to singing at age four after an eye-opening visit to Doverlane Musical Conference. I was like, Wowwww!!!! Whatever they're doing and feeling, I want to do and feel it too. When I was five, My mom heard me singing while playing with toys and she started giving me training from the very next day and encouraged me… When you’re a kid and you find something you’re good at, you cling to it. People would say nice things and that gave me confidence. As soon as I got a microphone in my hand for the first time, when I was about 16, I realized I just wanted to do this… Music is my life.. I was born to be a singer. So, I never gave up the hope to have a musical career beside all my work.
Life has given me lots of love but took a lot from me as well.. Everytime it throws new challenge on my court.. But, I try to play well and win the race with my will power. ' Courage to fight & Hope To Win ' - My only key strength. I have realized that being happy is a choice. You never want to rub anybody the wrong way or not be fun to be around, but you have to be happy. When I get logical and I don't trust my instincts - That's when I get in trouble. Considering that the life that we are given to live is too short, I feel that each one of us should & must live every moment of it to the fullest & contribute whatever we feel, is worthy!
I want to make my life special in such a way,
so that I find no regrets when I look back before I die.
